It has meant lots of time in the sewing room since we got back from London BUT what a surprise I had when I saw that I had won a lovely sewing box in a draw on the QUILTING ANTICS stall at the KNitting & Stitching show.
She visited our quilt group a few months back as she was just setting up and she is so enthusiastic and has already arranged workshops in her new premises and even has some retreats planned near Settle with somegreat quilters such as Ferret.
So I am hoping I will be able to get up there later this year. She is sending the box so I will post a pic when it arrives.
I have been free motion quilting like mad these last few days and finished off a Scrappy String quilt which I think will go to Project Linus and have done most of my JEWELS quilt which has been on the go awhile and is my version of a pattern from Sue Daley's book New English paper Piercing using Rowan fabric from Liberty's. Just need to do the borders and bind it. I tried to do a Jesters Hat pattern instead of just a general stippling design and it adds to the overall look.
I have just signed up for my first quilt along with Vicki at QuiltingLodge.com and the Texas Tear Drop quilt.

I have also finished off a series of felt pictures which I intend to mount in small frams for an exhibition coming up in May. I have not done any painting recently but enjoy making felt so thought these felt minitures might sell.
AND Finally ---- a couple of postcards I have done after I picked up a new book in London on Zentangle!
Found it quite relaxing to sit and doodle designs onto fabric and then machine over with black thread - might try colouring them with wax crayons as well.
Lots to do and decisions to make !!!
bye for now
